Faith Formation

Due to the church building being closed for COVID-19, many of the opportunities below are unable to happen or are happening via Zoom for the forseeable future. We hope to return to these events in person once it is safe to do so. Check out the front page news and announcements to stay up to date on ways you can stay involved!

ALL AGES:
G.I.F.T. (Generations Growing In Faith Together) is a monthly event held the second Sunday of the month at 10am in the Fellowship Hall.  Seasonal themes and activities draw people of all ages together to share the “highs and lows” of the week, ponder scripture, create something together and bless one another.  If you haven’t yet experienced GIFT, come and see what a great experience it is! Beginning in October, we will also hold a Saturday evening GIFT once a month on the Saturday night before the second Sunday—at 4:45pm.

FAMILY FUN NIGHT is scheduled for the Third Saturday night of each month.  Folks gather at 6:30pm for “Pizza and ...”, then maybe miniature golf, or other fun activities.  Sign up in the Narthex to sponsor leading a Family Fun Night this fall!

CHILDREN AND YOUTH:
Ages 3 years old to 5th Grade meet at 10am in the Fellowship Hall on all Sundays except the second Sunday of the month (GIFT) for Bible Study, crafts, songs and games.  Helpers can sign up in the Narthex.
Confirmation Class (6th—8th Graders) meet weekly with Pastor Bobbie at 10am in her office, every Sunday except GIFT weeks, when they are encouraged to join the family of faith at GIFT.  Confirmation Retreats are planned for November, January and in the Summer.  Service projects are offered regularly.
High Schoolers meet on Sundays at 10am in the Youth Room (Preschool Building) and regularly plan service and fellowship activities.
ADULTS:
Gonzalo Hernandez’ Sunday School class meets on Sunday mornings at 9am in the Conference Room, studying various books and topics over the year.

We believe each person is GIFT to another - regardless of age or life experience or gender or any other characteristic. We celebrate everyone's gifts with a wide variety of activities and events.  Here's a short video overview of this exciting Faith Formation opportunity at Trinity:

Monthly Cooking Classes!
Space is limited for these delightfully delicious events! Chef Darrell brings us demonstrations and instructions for entrees and/or accompaniments we can make at home. We enjoy dinner together following our "class."

Chef's classes are usually monthly, the 2nd Sunday, at 5pm. To give everyone who wishes to an opportunity to take part, we pre-sell reservations ($15) and ask folks to sign up in the Narthex.   (Check calendar each month!)

Confirmation Youth

The schedule varies according to the church seasons and the school calendars. Our youth study: the Bible and about Martin Luther and his beliefs that brought about the Reformation and the Lutheran church. They perform outreach and service projects. And have fun, too!
